Sabal brazoriensis Brazil relatives of the Southeastern NativeSabal x brazoriensis, a rare palm from Brazoria County, Texas, was identified by DNA in 2011 as an ancient hybrid between Sabal palmetto (above ground trunk) and Sabal minor (below ground trunk).
