Eupatorium purpureum Ruby PP 31668 Puya a naturally-occurring hybrid between Dryopteris(aka: Eupatorium FLOREUPRE1) Eupatorium 'Ruby' is a wonderful Ute Gebhardt selection of the North American native, Eupatorium purpureum. This compact, well branched dwarf has been excellent in our garden trials. The dark purple 2. 5' tall stems, topped with heads of rich magenta flowers, starting for us in early July (NC), make this a standout in the garden. Average to moist soils and full sun are best.
