These filters should be installed in the small track closest to the furnace, on the air outflow side of the air cleaner cabinet. The filters should be spaced evenly from the back to the front of the cabinet, with gaps between the filters. By design, the filters will not fill the entire depth of the cabinet. Lifespan: 3 6 months
