WW1 Touch Wud Charm clip on earrings signified "I cling to thee"DATE: WW1, c. 1915 A rare original First World War period 'Tommy Touch Wud' good luck charm in the form of a smiley wooden face with two green agate cabochon eyes. These charms were often given to soldiers when leaving for war. The back of the charm shows 'Touch Wud' in high relief. It's arms and legs are crafted in yellow metal (rolled gold), circa 1915.
