World War 1 American Bayonet Sword vintage filing Please refer to the photos1918; Springfield Armory Springfield, MA The Springfield Armory was the primary producer of United States military firearms from 1777 to 1968, and this World War 1 bayonet is one of the many items that passed through their factory. One side of the blade is marked with "US 936444" while the other side reads "S A 1918" with the Springfield Armory's flaming bomb logo. The hardened leather scabbard is splitting. Rust is present on the blade and hilt.
