1924 Print United States Grace Liner USS Santa Teresa Kent Transport Ship XGVA7 Tourism Bureau The World's Fair displayed theThis is an original 1924 black and white halftone print of the Grace Liner "Santa Teresa." Built in 1918 in Philadelphia as a passenger liner, the ship was used by the U. S. Navy during World War I as a transport and hospital vessel. After being decommissioned and returned to the private sector, the ship was renamed the SS Kent. In 1941 the ship was officially purchased by the U. S. government for use in WWII, and renamed the Ernest Hinds. CONDITION
